So… I know I’ve been pretty MIA lately, I know. Deepest apologies. How about I make up for it by posting the last 10 pictures I’ve taken with the Vignette app on my phone? Deal? I’ll start with the most recent.

Um… HELLO why didn’t anyone tell me there is a Jimmy John’s right by my work? I discovered it on my way back from watching a recording of a vaginal birth and a c-section birth with a bunch of high schoolers. Cross THAT one off the bucket list.

On Tuesday, Jared and I went to the Carl Block exhibit at BYU. I snuck this picture during the drive down. The exhibit was incredible, touching, faith building, awe-inspiring. I loved it. And I loved that Jared and I can do things like that together!

Haha, this picture makes me laugh! I was naughty and took it during the rest hymn at church last Sunday. It’s really blurry because I was laughing when I tried to sneak it. You see, Jordan (left), and Chase (second from left) refused to sing. I kept poking them and tugging at my ear to show that I wanted them to sing louder. Jordan obliged, Chase did not. Oh, and hi Michelle! Love that girl.

Last Saturday Jared and I went to the Real game… it was FREEZING but SO MUCH FUN! Real played LA Galaxy (that Beckham dude plays for them) and apparently our 4-1 win was a big deal. I decided soccer games are awesomely rowdy with glitter, confetti, streamers, drums and chants. Just my style.

DOUBLE RAINBOW ALL THE WAY!!! What does it mean?? Okay, it was a single rainbow, but still.

Hold the press. Aren’t my new curtains STELLAR? Got the drapes from IKEA for like $15 for two. Then I had to jazz them up, so I did! I have to say, they look much more adorable now, cause they are tied, but you kinda get the idea here. Oh, and I have given that sad plant a hair cut since I took this pic, so it doesn’t have brown tips anymore. In related news, these curtains deserve their own post. I’ll do that.

Okay… I’m cheating a little. Here is a closer look at the fabric band I sewed on (wait, my mom sewed, but I cut them all!). This doesn’t count as one of my pics, okay? It’s my bloggy I do what I want!

I work at an awesome fabric store a couplefew (that’s a word, right?) days a week. This is an accidental picture from work. I kept it cause I think it’s kind of awesome.

Pretty snow! Can I just say I get suuuuuper annoyed when people complain about snow in March? It’s MARCH people! I’m pretty sure March is still winter… annnnnd I’m sure if I’m wrong, someone will tell me. Anyway, I love snow. I think it’s beautiful. As Jared would say “Tons of new freshie stashes up in the mountains to rip!”

Sometimes I like to take pictures of scriptures and sometimes I like to send them to Jared. This one I sent last week sometime. It’s a keeper, don’t you think? Alma 36:3 Learn more here.

My cute friend Sig deep conditioned my hair the other week. I posted this picture on the good old Facebook with the caption “To infinity, and beyond!” Facebook showed the loved.

There you have it! Don’t say I never gave you anything.

P.S. It’s fried eggs, fried eggs!!!

So what if I’m over two months late in posting about my cruise to the Bahama’s with Ambler? Sue me. 😉

Better late then not at all… and it true Cam form, I’ll keep the words short and the pictures… long. I guess.

Leaving Miami

A little kayaking adventure we went on… it was GORGEOUS.

A few miles away from one of the filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean.

Those dark clouds behind me are part of this little damper we like to call  Tropical Storm Nicole headed our way.

DOWNPOUR

Night out on the ship!

Alright folks… I think that’s enough for one post. I made it through the first two days 🙂

Who me? Um… busy. Perdón. Being a grown-up is time-consuming.

Ahem.

Having fun is also time-consuming.

I’ll recap the fun part of the past three months (because we all know the grown-up part isn’t all that thrilling).

August: Quick Cali trip. And by quick, I mean quick. The trip clocked in at exactly 48 hours and 24 of those hours were spent driving. But I did get some of this:

And spent some time with these ladies (this pic may or may not have been taken when we ran out of gas a few miles outside of Las Vegas at 4 am):

And here are a few more gems from the trip for your viewing pleasure:

In September I hit up Bear Lake with a bunch of crazy cats:

And had fun:

This says: “Cambria rocks the Bear Lake universe yea” And that’s a fact, according to Jared.

Photobomb courtesy Abe.

Apparently the boys had too much fun.

Let’s finish this post off with some grilled peaches.

Stay tuned for an upcoming post on my cruise to the Bahama’s and my first trip ever to Lake Powell!

The {W} Family

One of my co-workers asked me to take some family pictures of her cute little family a few weeks ago. They were an ABSOLUTE BLAST to photograph. Her kids are darling and they were so happy.

I feel like I’m so very late in getting these edited, but here is my absolute favorite from the shoot:

I took some family photo’s.

Ya’ll remember Kalli? Well, while I was shooting her wedding, her… dad’s cousin, maybe?… asked me if I would take some pictures of her upcoming birthday party. She called me later and I ended up taking her extended family pictures, too! That family was so fun! Photographing children is sure easy when you have what could be the cast of  a children’s television show right behind you. This family lives in Tooele, which is a bit of a drive from Farmington, but it’s a pretty drive and spending an afternoon with this family was completely worth it! I had a blast! I’ll share some of my favs… probably lots of the children because let’s face it… kids are adorable!

Last weekend my ward, along with two others, ventured up to Martins Cove, Wyoming. I had a little bit of mixed feelings about going, but I was mostly excited. It turned out to be a wonderful trip! I got to know a few new people, danced, pulled a hand cart, stood on Independence Rock, and felt the sacred, peaceful spirit of Martins Cove. Here are just a few pictures I took:

Kalli’s Bridals

My wonderful co-worker Sharon asked if I could take picture for her daughter’s wedding. A mixture of excitement and terror ran through me. AH!!! Really? Me? Uh… that would be AWESOME but are you sure? That’s scary! Uh… YES. But… I’ve never shot a wedding before. We made a plan that I would take some bridals… and if they liked them we could continue. If not, then I told her my feelings would not be hurt and they could find a new photographer. Good news… they liked them!

But really now… look at Ms. Kalli. The girl is GORGEOUS! And so incredibly sweet. I had the time of my life shooting her. Here are a few of my favorites from our bridal shoot:

This one was a special request from Kalli… she wanted this shot at it turned out gorgeous thanks to her eyes. They are crazy cool! They picked up every color around us. So there’s some pink (brown) from the flowers, blue from the sky, and if you look very closely, you can see me!

Black and white:

This is one of my ultimate favs:

And there you have it! My first bridal shoot ever. I’m really pleased with how they turned out. Thanks Kalli for giving me this experience!

Oh! And I can’t post these without a HUGE shout out/thanks to my brother Collin who sat down with me during his spring break and edited into the wee-hours. He is pure talent. Thanks Collin! I couldn’t have done it without you!

even if

How about I stop being such a baby on my blog? Yeah? Good idea, right?

Alright, so we have a deal.

I know 98.6% of Norther Utah is a bit more than peeved about waking up to snow this morning. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s April and it’s supposed to be getting warmer and when’s the sun every going to come out… I hear ya, neighbors. I’m ready for sunshine and flip flops as much as the next tooth-chattering Utahn.

HOWEVER, did anyone stop to notice how beautiful the snow was this morning? Pure elegance.

I took with my BlackBerry from my car this morning.

I love the peaceful feeling that comes from freshly fallen snow.

Even if it falls on April 6th.

I feel bad for leaving that finger as the first post everyone see’s when they come to my blog. It’s been there for a long time. Anyway, I apologize, dear readers. Allow me to give you something new to rest your eyes on.

I’ve been wanting to replace the finger with something really pretty. Namely, some pictures from the bridal session I shot two weeks ago.  That’s easier said then done seeing as all the good pictures are on my brothers computer. So you will just have to wait. Sorry. I probably want to post them more than any of you really want to see them, but it was awesome. Kalli was a GORGEOUS bride… she made my job easy. Pictures are to come!

In other news, I fell down the stairs at work yesterday. It was cool. Actually, I lied, it was not cool at all because it hurt really, really bad. I was on the phone, carrying a bolt of fabric, and wearing heels. Nothing out of the norm, right? Well, my heel caught on the carpet and I didn’t even think about attempting to save myself. I just decided to fall. On my shins. Then I slid. Down the stairs (it was only 4 stairs, but still). Then I wanted to cry. Then the nice guy from ABC 4 who loves hats came to help me up. Then I couldn’t walk very well. Then I swore off shoes for the rest of the day. Now my shins are all purple and my right shin has a nice patch of baby skin showing. It was rough, guys.

In other, other news, tonight is the playoffs! Beau’s hockey team has been doing amazing this round. See? Team Arby’s is number one, baby! It’s been really fun to cheer on his team and I’m stoked for the game tonight.

And lastly, I’m really missing my summer babies:

I guess I have a thing for two wheels.
